Three Heroes in One
I’ll never forget the “Batman vs. Superman” movie! Watching it made my little ol’ weeb heart burst with happiness. Despite all the buzz about the MCU, I’ve always been a DC fan to the bone. I agree that the DCEU has had shitty movies but this one was not one of them at all. To this day, it’s my favorite superhero film of all time. I love it so much I just had to buy a poster of it!
I looked everywhere for a poster that really caught my attention. There are a ton of them online, some even signed by the cast themselves, but none really got to me. I wanted a good piece that I can complete my DC collection with. One that can serve as the main altar for my geekdom shrine. After days of searching the net, I finally found it! On a website called AllPosters.com, there was this awesome 36″ x 24″ that not only had Batman and Superman on it but also Wonder Woman. It looked so cool man! So badass that I just had to have it.
When I ordered it, I felt I hit a goldmine. I was ecstatic. I found a poster that really captured all of DC’s awesomeness. Henry Cavill looked amazing, Gal Gadot was super hot, and Ben Affleck never looked better! It was my best purchase in a long time, especially since the poster itself wasn’t that expensive. However, little did I know that things would go south while I waited for them to deliver the poster.
I live in Miami, Florida so I was on the other side of the country from LA, which is where AllPosters.com’s headquarters are located (according to their website). I figured it’d take around a week or two to get my poster to me, especially with Covid-19 being such a hassle, but damn! I didn’t know it’d take a whole frickin’ month! A whole motherfudging month to deliver one measly poster? You gotta be kidding me! By the middle of the second week, I was contacting the website and all I got was silly excuses and half-assed responses. I was pissed off!
It’s a good thing the poster is high-quality, else I would have sued their asses till kingdom come! Like, come on! They didn’t even give me a valid enough reason why it took a whole frickin’ month for shipping. Of course, they try to blame the pandemic for their crappy service but I wasn’t buying it! My wife has been shopping her ass off online during the pandemic and most of her stuff came on time. So why was this poster so effin’ late!?
After hanging the poster and completing my shrine of geekdom, I decided to cool down. My wife helped me a bit too by… Well, I’d rather not say (not suitable for children!). Anyway, she convinced me to let go of my plans of giving hell to AllPosters.com, saying that perhaps they may be going through some hard times right now. I didn’t give a crap about that but since my wife insisted, I retreated… for now!
After all, I am happy with the poster. It really does look awesome and badass. As for my next purchase, I know somewhere I definitely will not be buying from, that’s for sure!
